UNIT – IV (Equilibrium electrochemistry-Ions in solution- 1) Activities in solutions - mean activity coefficient - Debye - HÜckel theory - role of electrodes - electrochemical potential - types of electrodes - kinds of cell - emf and electrode potentials - standard electrode potentials - thermodynamics of emf of cells – potentiometric titrations - pK & pH - acid base titrations – buffers.
